How to Play
Goal of the game: Be the first player to place the fourth different shape in a row, a column, or one of the four square zones (quadrants) of the board.
Setup
The game is played on a 4×4 grid, divided into four 2×2 quadrants.
Each player has 8 pieces: two of each shape — sphere, cylinder, cone, and cube.
Player Turn
On your turn, place one piece on any empty space on the board, following a single rule:
You cannot place a shape in a row, column, or quadrant where your opponent has already placed that same shape.
In other words:
- You may play a shape even if you already have that shape in the same line/zone.
- You just cannot place it where the opponent already has one of that shape.
Players alternate turns, placing one piece at a time.
End of the Game
The game ends as soon as one of the following happens:
- Immediate victory — A player places the fourth different shape in a row, column, or quadrant (it doesn’t matter which player owns the other pieces; only the set of four different shapes matters).
- No legal moves — If a player cannot legally place any of their remaining pieces on their turn, they lose immediately.
Quick Tips
- Pay attention to which shapes your opponent has already played in each row, column, or quadrant — this helps you predict where they can’t play.
- Mix defensive moves (blocking your opponent’s options) with offensive plays that help you complete a row, column, or quadrant with four different shapes.
